AMC2016A/AMC2016B Game Development A

Game Development introduces students to the fundamentals of designing and developing interactive digital games. Students explore the game design process—from concept creation and storyboarding to coding, animation, and user experience design—using industry-relevant tools and software. Through hands-on projects, students learn core programming logic, visual design principles, and problem-solving skills as they create 2D games and simple interactive prototypes. Emphasis is placed on creativity, teamwork, and iterative design as students analyze popular games and apply design theory to their own projects. This course provides a foundation for advanced study in computer science, game design, or digital media, and encourages students to think critically about the social, ethical, and professional aspects of the gaming industry.
