Advanced Game Development builds upon the foundational skills learned in Game Development 1, guiding students through the complete game production pipeline from concept to deployment. Students apply advanced programming techniques, 2D and 3D asset creation, and interactive storytelling to design immersive, fully functional games. Emphasis is placed on collaboration, project management, and professional-grade workflows using industry-standard software and game engines such as Unity.
Students explore advanced topics including physics and animation systems, artificial intelligence for non-player characters, level and environment design, user interface (UI) development, and game testing. Ethical considerations, accessibility, and emerging trends in virtual and augmented reality are also introduced. Each student or team produces a capstone project that demonstrates technical proficiency, creativity, and an understanding of real-world production standards.
