The course combines classroom instruction with practical training in medication preparation, dosage calculations, and prescription processing to build accuracy, professionalism, and confidence in a pharmacy setting. Students prepare for the National Healthcareers (NHA) ExCPT exam in combination with postsecondary enrollment or an allied health internship that provides hands-on preparation for employment as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Foundations of Medicine and Health Science A/B and Structures and Functions of the Human Body A/B
Must be co-enrolled in appropriate math and science courses.
