Students enrolled in this course receive English Language Development instruction on all 5 standards of the WIDA Framework: Language for ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies- with Language for Social Instructional Purposes embedded throughout. Students develop these language skills across Interpretive (Reading, Listening, Viewing) and Expressive (Speaking, Writing, Representing) skills to engage with grade-level content. This course is for active EML students and is offered for elective credit only.
